The New Hampshire Green Home Design hot water is generated through the panels in the roof and stored in 1100 gallon tank in the basement. This heats the water for domestic uses as well as to heat the home via radiant heat in the floors. Back up for your solar hot water, is a normal propane hot water system. The current owners are able to shut off the propane hot water nine months out of the year.
