Comedian Joan Rivers is selling this prewar New York City pad for $25 million.
Joan Rivers has gotten yet another facelift … but this time, it was for her prewar penthouse in New York City. Rivers bought this 5,190-square-foot condo about 20 years ago and had a team of “museum trained artists” restore it to its original splendor. According to the New York Times, artists stripped years of paint and grime from the ornate walls, revealing original designs added by American’s greatest classical revivalist, Horace Trumbauer. Artisans also gave the ballroom a sky-blue ceiling with puffy white clouds.
The Upper East Side pad, steps from Central Park, has three bedrooms and four-and-a-half baths and boasts several decked-out reception rooms, a dramatic two-story gallery, light-flooded livingroom and a terrace with sweeping city views.
